1.24 SL Sim Update

FIXED BY SL UPDATE 1.24.4 AS OF 9/03/2008 20:00

As of 1.24 Update all Printing Press and Upgrade Systems will function intermittently at best.

Currently there is a bug reported in the Second Life Jira (SL bug database) that email functions are not working. At the time up this post there are 73 people voting for the issue. What this means for SL that one the Printing Press is not working and also anything else that uses email will have problems. The most notable problem will be vendor systems which many uses email to function.

As for a fix, a workaround could be done but it would require a lot of work on the main publication engine. Because of the severity of the problem that so many more residents will be affected by this just other than people that own the Printing Press, I believe it will be fixed. So what I will do is monitor the jira and see what progress and impact this bug is doing to the SL community. If for some reason it is not being fixed I will work on a bug fix.

What can you do? The number one most important thing is vote on the jira. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2938 The more people that vote will give a higher priority to other issues in SL. So PLEASE VOTE!
